Nature vs. Nurture: This is the age old question that you will be asked in most social science classes- why are we the way that we are? Are we born a certain way (Thanks Lady Gaga) or do we learn how to be by our social influences.
I think most people would say that it is a combination of both.
The Self: There are many theories, theorists, and terms that describe a human's perpective of the self. This means how a person sees themselves, how they feel about themselves, and why they feel that way.

Discussion question: What is your opinion on the theories of the Self? Do you think that the theories of the Self are valid? Can you relate to these theories? Can you apply these theories to yourself or others?
